If You Have a Return Shipping Label

When you replace a used cartridge with a new one, there should be a shipping label in the box the new cartridge came in. Put the old cartridge in a plastic container in the new box with the provided shipping label and give it to the lab manager to mail back to the company. So it is crucial that you do not throw away a cartridge box or shipping label! (If you used the last cartridge of a particular kind, be sure to order a new backup cartridge via the ordering sheet, of course.)

If You Do Not Have a Return Shipping Label

In the absence of a shipping label, the University has a campus-wide inkjet and laser toner cartridge recycling procedure. These cartridges must be boxed (maximum size: 21 inches x 21 inches x 24 inches, per box) and sent to Central Receiving via Campus Mail. Address to:

Campus Box 1100
104 Airport Drive, Suite 2700
Chapel Hill, NC 27599-1100

These packages can be left in the Campus Mailbox near the departmental mailboxes on the east side of the third floor of GMB.
